Pompey's game with Hull was called off this morning due to a frozen pitch.
Referee Darren Sheldrake inspected the pitch at 9:45 and deemed the surface unplayable. The turf had been underneath frost covers for days but due to frezing temperatures over the past few nights, there has been no time for the ground to defrost.
A date for the fixture has yet to be rearranged but the ticket office is open until 1pm today if fans wish to claim a refund (although cash refunds are not available) but tickets bought for the game today will be valid for the rearranged date.
It's a shame that the fixture has fallen foul of the weather. I felt we had a good chance to win today but by the time the two teams are scheduled to meet again, we may have lost players in the loan window and Hull might have gained some.
Pompey's next (and possibly last) home game is against Ipswich and is due to be played on Valentine's Day.
