The High Court will hear HMRC's appeal against Portsmouth's proposed CVA next Tuesday, it has been confirmed.
Andrew Andronikou believes that the hearing will last a day or a day-and-a-half, so Pompey's fate may not be finalised until next Wednesday.
If HMRC are successful in convincing the court that they are owed an extra £13 million by Pompey, they will be able to block the CVA and the club will be forced to come out of administration without it, meaning the Football League will hit Pompey with at least a 15 point penalty.
If they are unsuccessful, then the CVA will be accepted and someone can finally purchase the club and Steve Cotterill will be allowed to bring players in, three or four days before the season begins.
Then the new owner saga will begin all over again!
