In Milan Mandaric's final throw of the dice, Harry Redknapp has been installed as the top dog at Fratton Park. The chairman said there was no-one better qualified to take up the mantle at the club and Graham Rix was a 'risk'. With Harry, Peter Storrie and Milan, you have a united trio - something Pompey haven't had for years and this could prove key in Pompey's final attempt for success.
Fratton Faithful sources understand that Cotterill will be installed as first team coach in the summer but at the moment, it will just be Harry who will take training from tomorrow - with Alan Knight and Neil McNab helping out. It is unknown how long the current coaching staff will remain at the club with Knight and McNab known to be extreemly unhappy at the sudden departure of Graham Rix.
Redknapp feels that Pompey are at least six players short of success but all the current crop will be given a clean slate. Sources suggest that Yoshi and Zamperini will be once again be given key roles at the club with the possibility of Crouch leaving before transfer deadline day this week. This would be to fund some future signings.
