Harry Going Nowhere

Despite various reports in the news today, Harry Redknapp and Peter Storrie have both strongly denied that the Pompey manager will retire from football after the FA Cup Final on Saturday.

Reports in various newspapers claimed that Redknapp was ready to walk away from football after the game at Wembley, hoping to bow out on a high.

However, Peter Storrie disregarded the claims as "an unbelieveable load of rubbish," whilst Harry himself has said that he won't leave simply because he "loves it here" and enjoys coming to work.

Harry is contracted to Pompey until 2011 and I don't see why he would want to leave even if we did win the Cup. Sacha has backed him all the way and a Cup win would take Pompey into Europe for the very first time and I'm sure Harry would fancy a crack at winning the UEFA Cup and relish building an even stronger Pompey side next season.

Sol Campbell has also said today that he is loving life at Pompey and has hinted at staying next season despite strong links to Villareal. I'm not surprised how much he is loving it here considering the huge wage he is on!

It'll be worth it if he lifts the cup on Saturday though, for sure.
