Apart from Pompey's official rejection of Ramon Vega's takeover proposal, there hasn't been much going on in the news so now I can take some time out and tell you about something interesting and worthwhile.
Football Aid is an annual event that allows people to bid for a place in a team that will take to the hallowed turf of Fratton Park, treading the path that many of our heroes have done before us.
The first match of the event takes place at Fratton Park on Sunday May 29th with a midday kick-off. There are still some playing positions available to bid for on both the "home" and "away" sides whilst a Pompey legend will be playing at left back for the away team, though it is yet to be confirmed who that is.
Bidding ends in late March for the last available positions so if you fancy a chance to pull on the famous royal blue and maybe score a dream goal in front of the Fratton End (or "Quashie" the ball into Row Z!) then visit the Football Aid website for more details.
And if you're like me and not got the fitness or the ability to play, you can still buy tickets for the match for a fiver each from the website with the proceeds going to the various Football Aid charities.
It should be an entertaining day so do your bit for charity and get involved!
