Ever since the summer, Faye and his agent have been constantly speaking out in the media about how he deserves to be in the Champions League and was only using Pompey as a stepping stone. If he was playing fantastically well and looking like a star quality player then perhaps I could see where he's coming from; the fact Faye has been dreadful for the last six months leads me to be somewhat quizzical over this.
Matters came to a head in the summer where it seemed as though he was all set for a move to Fulham. It fell through because Faye "changed his mind" - when it later emerged he had failed a medical and was trying to save face, fans were less than impressed. Apparently Boro are now interested for £2.5m (snigger) whilst Milan and Peter Storrie are reported to have said in the local media that they want him out within the next 10 days.
A fantastic player on his day, but unfortunately he's only had about two days in over a year here.
