Because of Birmingham's win over Bolton last night they have leaped us out of the relegation zone and we have "sunk" a single place back to 19th.
As soon as this result came in I hear a Pompey fan shout "Oh my god... we're going down!" My reply...
..."What the fuck!?"
OK, the result last night didn't do us any favours and here's hoping Bolton get their act together for the last game of the season but there are a few negative nancies who seem to be forgetting that our fate is still in our own hands.
We are the team in form, we have five home games left and the two away games are certainly winnable. We are scoring plenty of goals whereas our rivals are struggling. So to suggest that we're going down on the basis of a game that we didn't even take part in is utterly ludicrous!
The bottom line is that if we win all of our remaining games we will survive regardless of what the other two do. Yes, it's extremely unlikely that is going to happen but so long as our fate stays in our own hands then there is no need for panic!
