Papa Bouba Diop has signed for AEK Athens on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £300,000.
The 32-year-old Senegal midfielder was one of Pompey's higher earners in the team and Andrew Andronikou was keen to remove him from the wage bill.
I can't say he'll be missed too much in all honesty. For someone built like he was, he sure fell over a lot. He gave away so many needless free kicks and penalties with his clumsy challenges and his passing was often wayward.
And of course there's the fact he never scored a single goal for Pompey too, even managing to miss from all of two yards against Aston Villa.
The AEK fans gave him a good reception when he arrived at the airport, I think they may change their tune when they realise how bad he can be.
