Carl Dickinson has returned to Pompey on a one-month loan deal from Watford having previously played for the club during the 2010/2011 season.
With Jordan Obita returning to Reading due to family reasons, Michael Appleton had a loan space free in his squad and has decided to bring back Dickinson, as he looks to play Jon Harley further forward.
Previously, Dickinson has been described by myself (and others) as "one of the worst footballers to grace the professional game" and so it's surprising that he has returned to Fratton Park.
Still, perhaps League One football is his level and he always gave maximum effort when wearing a Pompey shirt and for some people, that is all that can be asked.
The 25-year-old will be available to make his second debut for Portsmouth at Stevenage tomorrow night.
Welcome back, Dicko.
