There's now less than 12 hours to go until the January transfer window slams shut and Pompey have to make do with what they've got until the end of the season. Will they be making any new signings? Not according to Harry Redknapp...
Chinedu Ogbuke (Edu) will not be joining Pompey, for now. The Pompey gaffer explained that he would have to wait ages for a work permit to be obtained for the 20-year-old Nigerian so he's decided to take another look at him in the summer.
Despite rumours in Italy claiming that Sulley Muntari will be signing for Pompey today, Redknapp remarked "It's very kind of them if they've dropped the price to £9m. I'll go and ring them up now!" So it's safe to say that Muntari will not be coming to Pompey this season.
Other rumoured transfers to take place on deadline day are Juventus midfielder Manuele Blasi, Macedonian midfielder/striker Goran Pandev from Lazio and Nantes midfielder Djaid Kasri.
They could be coming in, but who could be going out?
Dean Kiely has sealed a move to West Bromwich Albion and you have to wonder whether Svetoslav Todorov will be here come tomorrow. What about squad players like Andy O'Brien, Rodolphe Douala and Ognjen Koroman? Will they be leaving Fratton Park today?
Stay tuned to Fratton Faithful for the latest transfer news on deadline day.
