Welcome to a special article that is dedicated to the transfer dealings of today as there is now less than 12 hours before the transfer window slams shut.
Keep checking back on the Fratton Faithful homepage and look at the teaser for this article that will alert you to any updates during this busy time. Last season Pompey made three signings very late on in the day with Vukic, Diao and Dario Silva all joining Pompey. Let's hope the signings today do not have the same "panic buy" tone to them!
Andy Cole has completed his move from Manchester City to Pompey as expected after passing a medical. The fee is initially 500K but can rise to £1 million based on appearances, goals and whatnot.
He is now joined by Croatian star Niko Kranjcar. The 22 year old has signed a four year deal and will wear the number 19 shirt. The highly rated midfielder can play anywhere along the centre of the pitch, probably on the left of midfield for us. It is said Pompey have paid Hajduk Split £3.5 million for Kranjcar (pronounced "Crunch-Yar").
Harry has also made his third signing of deadline day by bringing speedy winger Rudolphe Douala Mbela to Fratton Park on loan from Sporting Lisbon. Pompey will have the option to buy the 27 year-old Cameroon international after his loan.
One player has left though. Svetoslav Todorov has joined Wigan Athletic on a loan deal until the end of December.
And that's it... barring any major late announcements our squad is now complete until January. The transfer window is now officially closed!
