Yet again a Pompey player is hit by what I now like to call the "bullshit journalism curse" as today Andres D'Alessandro has told the official Pompey website that he hasn't spoken to any journalist since the end of the season.
D'Alessandro said "I don't know where these quotes have come from but I have not said anything like it. At the moment I honestly don't know where my future lies but I know that Pompey have been talking to my representatives and to Wolfsburg about options that would see me back in Portsmouth next season." I had said in a previous article that it wouldn't suprise me if this magazine was making stuff up and that has now proved to be the case.
Andres is adamant that he'd like to stay at Pompey to enhance the clubs reputation and to help it go forward so now it's down to Pompey to get him signed up before June 30th when the clause giving Pompey "first dibs" on the player supposedly runs out.
This is probably the beginning of a long transfer saga....
