Curtis ready for Chelsea Culture Clash

The former Man Utd and Blackburn defender, who signed last month from Leicester, will make his home debut against an expensively-assembled Chelsea side, but Curtis is hopeful the Fratton faithful can sing the home side to a shock victory.

"I was blown away by how noisy the fans were on Saturday and it felt like a home game at times" said the defender.

"I always thought the Manchester United supporters were the loudest away from home but the Pompey fans take the atmosphere onto a whole new level. Fratton Park can be a very intimidating place and I hope the home fans are just as noisy tomorrow" he added.

Portsmout could certainly do with a win after tonight's result. To be fair, any possible outcome of the Leeds v Wolves match would have been looked upon unfavourably by the Portsmouth fans, but Leeds' 4-1 victory means that Pompey are now just three points off the bottom of the table.
