It has been confirmed that HMRC's appeal against the CVA will be brought forward, but a date has yet to be confirmed.
Portsmouth C.E.O David Lampitt has said that the date of the hearing should be known "within the next 24 hours" and that the appeal would be heard before the start of the season.
Let's just hope it's as soon as possible, because obviously the longer this embargo goes on, the harder it is for Steve Cotterill to sign players before the opening game at Coventry.
Whilst the start of this season is drawing parallels with last, due to lack of players coming in and owner situation. At least this year there is a longer time to "bed in" any new players we have because of the extra eight games in the Championship.
Not only that, but Championship clubs are given a window during the season to loan players in from Premier League clubs, so that may also work in our favour.
