Mark Clattenburg has been suspended by the FA for alleged debt problems and will not take charge of the Community Shield game as planned.
Peter Walton will now be the referee for Sunday's game at Wembley and Clattenburg has been suspended until his problems have been resolved.
I think Clattenburg is one of the best referees in the league and he was in charge when we last beat Manchester United two seasons ago, not being influenced by Wayne Rooney's and United's protests whenever Linvoy tackled him.
On the other hand I've found Walton to be very petulent and refuses to let the game flow. Hopefully I am proved wrong and he won't be the most talked about man come the end of Sunday's match.
