Balram Chainrai is close to taking control of Portsmouth Football Club after signing a term agreement in London today.
David Lampitt confirmed on Express FM tonight that "contracts have been exchanged" and that Chainrai will become the new owner once "a few more hurdles have been jumped."
The deal has to be approved by the Football League, meaning Chainrai must pass the new "Owners and Directors test" before he can officially take control of the club.
