It's "Bare Bones" time again at Portsmouth Football Club as the 3-0 defeat to Blackburn not only humiliated us but also left Harry Redknapp with yet another injury headache.
It was revealed prior to Sunday's game that Benjani has had a recurrence of his old injury and is doubtful for the Chelsea game. Pedro Mendes picked up an ankle injury during the game whilst Gary O'Neil picked up a knock and is 50/50.
Sean Davis has also aggravated his ankle and could miss the Chelsea game whilst Lauren won't be fit in time for the game for certain. Dejan Stefanovic could return after playing against Dorking tonight in a charity game.
So, with Glen Johnson not being able to play against his parent club we are looking at this possible team come the visit of the Champions:
GK: James
RB: Pamarot
CB: Primus
CB: Campbell
LB: Traore
RM: Douala
CM: Hughes
CM: Kranjcar
LM: Taylor
ST: LuaLua
ST: Cole
Bench: Ashdown, Stefanovic/O'Brien, Mvuemba, Kanu, Todorov
Those players above are the only players left in the squad that we have fit, so not only does this situation mean we're screwed if we pick up another injury it also highlights our lack of squad depth. I'm sure that Harry will address this issue in the summer!
Be afraid Chelsea, be very afraid....
