Pompey will play Cardiff City in the FA Cup Final after they beat Barnsley 1-0 at Wembley courtesy of a goal from Joe Ledley.
Ledley hooked in a shot in the 9th minute of the game and despite the Tykes playing the better football and Odejayi missing a sitter, they held on for the victory.
So, this result could mean that we've already qualified for the UEFA Cup this season. The FA rules state that a Welsh team cannot represent England in Europe and so if the Bluebirds were to beat us in the final, then as runners-up we would take their place.
However, Michel Platini and UEFA will practically make the FA bend over backwards to allow Cardiff to represent another country in Europe so we will have to make sure that we win the FA Cup to guarantee our place in the UEFA Cup next season.
This result also means that Barnsley can focus on staying in the Championship which is something I hope they achieve because if they go down, Southampton don't.
