Sonny Bradley looks set to be confirmed as a Crawley Town player tomorrow.
Ex-Pompey manager John Gregory, now manager of Crawley, confirmed that he is set to unveil a new arrival for the League One club tomorrow and with Crawley media now following Bradley on Twitter and the player himself tweeting "Long trip down south for an important day tomorrow" from his home up north then it doesn't take a genius to work out what is going on.
It will end a spell of less than a year spent at Portsmouth which began well with his performances earning rave reviews but his lack of concentration and slow reaction time saw him responsible for too many goals conceded when he was part of the Pompey defence. His agent has certainly done a great job in selling him to other clubs so perhaps the club will receive a significant fee for him?
There'll be a fair few Pompey supporters who won't be sorry to see Bradley go as his relationship with some fans was fractured due to a couple of social media faux-pas moments and the supposed altercation with a group of people after the 1-1 draw at Exeter.
But other fans will be sorry to see him leave because he does have the physical attributes to succeed in the game and at 22-years-old he still has plenty of time to develop as a player.
A search wll now start for a replacement if it hasn't already. Hopefully this won't mean that Bondz N'Gala returns to the squad as Andy Awford should be aiming higher than that standard if he is to build a team capable of winning automatic promotion.
