Bergdolmo digs his claws into Portsmouth

Portsmouth backed out of the deal for the Norwegian full-back after personal demands that Peter Storrie claimed did not fit into in the club's wage structure.


And after swaping Ajax for Borussia Dortmund in a deal believed to be worth £500,000, Bergdolmo told the VG newspaper: "The agreement with Dortmund happened very quickly... Playing for Dortmund is obviously great for me - and far more exciting than Portsmouth.

"Dortmund are always fighting for honours in the Bundesliga and they are in the Champions League while Portsmouth will not be one of the six best teams in the Premier League".
