Tal Ben-Haim is set to sue Portsmouth FC over £1.4 million in unpaid wages since January, according to a report in the Mail on Sunday (which can be read by clicking here).
The Israeli defender alleges that he hasn't been paid since his return from a loan spell at West Ham in January and has taken legal advice and will take Pompey to a Football League hearing in July.
If they rule in favour of Ben-Haim, the club could be put under another transfer embargo until the fee is paid by new owners CSI. Who knows how else Pompey may be punished should be found guilty of not paying an employee?
Should this report from the Mail be accurate (and it wouldn't surprise me if there was even more to the story) then it seems like even now, despite having been gone for well over a year, Peter Storrie's legacy continues to haunt the club.
We'll have to wait and see whether CSI officially confirm or deny this story and what they intend to do if it's true. Surely they'd have known about this problem when completing the due dilligence process?
Expect this saga to drag on for a while...
