Tal Ben-Haim is free to play for Portsmouth after a settlement was agreed over his unpaid wages.
The 29-year-old Isreali defender was to sue the club £1.4 million with legal proceedings due to commence, but that will no longer happen now the issue has been resolved.
Whilst his actions may not have made himself popular with the Pompey fans, Ben-Haim would be a very good Championship player and could be in Steve Cotterill's plans to play at left back for the upcoming season as he is taking him to America for the upcoming pre-season tour.
The only way he is going to get the fans back on his side is if his performances go some way to earning the huge salary Peter Storrie negotiated when he signed back in the summer of 2009.
That's if he doesn't leave before the end of August.
