Nadir Belhadj has completed his move to Qatari side Al Sadd for an undisclosed fee.
There's no word yet on how much Pompey have received for the Algerian full back, but my guess would be around £3 million. Obviously, this move comes as no surprise with Belhadj being one of the club's biggest assets and the fact that he was never going to stick around.
I'll miss Belhadj's blitzing down the wing and his ability to swing a decent ball into the box, but won't miss his mistimed challenges and erratic behaviour.
Nadir joins former Pompey team-mate Quincy Owusu-Abeyie at Al Sadd, whilst he will be up against a former Pompey forward in Aruna Dindane who now plays for Lekhiwya.
