Pompey Chief Executive Peter Storrie earlier stated that the club were looking to get a deal done for Cole and now Manchester City have confirmed on their site that Andy has expressed a desire to quit City for Portsmouth. It is believed that Cole is having a medical at Pompey at this current moment in time and the deal will be finalised soon.
Sticking on the topic of Man City, they have banned Ben Thatcher for six games and fined him six weeks wages. I'd expect the FA to extend this ban but fair play to City for taking action against their own player. Mind you, there will be uproar if this ban isn't extended by the FA. We will have to wait and see.
