According to the local journalists from The News, it appears that this week may well be a good one for Portsmouth fans.
Firstly, there appears to be some positive news regarding the protracted takeover deal with suggestions that something concrete may happen this week. I'm too sceptical to believe that any deal would be finalised any time during the rest of the month, but watch this space.
On the signings front, the David Norris transfer looks to be a "done deal" according to sources, as Hull have reportedly dropped their interest in the ex-Ipswich captain as they believe he is on his way to Fratton Park.
Again, I'm not sure how seriously these reports can be taken but at least there is some talk of movement before the season officially ends. Any signings now would be welcome given that Steve Cotterill now only has eight players to work with.
It might just be a busy week but every Pompey fan should know by now to expect the least given what has happened in the last two pre-seasons.
