Sulaiman Al-Fahim has tonight called off his meeting with the Pompey Virtual Alliance.
The official statement from him in an e-mail read:
"I have decided to postpone tomorrow's meeting with the fans. I am concerned that the coverage generated will distract the players from their preparations for Saturday's crucial game. I will convene this meeting again at the earliest opportunity.
Play Up Pompey! Sulaiman Al-Fahim"
What a load of rubbish! That is the worst excuse I have ever heard for postponing a meeting. As if the players have their minds on this meeting when they should be fully focused on a tough game with Everton on Saturday.
Unless of course the "coverage generated" would have been something so severe that it would have caused a fans riot.
No, this is just Al-Fahim bottling a meeting where he will be asked questions that he either won't be able to answer or is afraid that the answers he will give us will not be what we want to hear.
It's simply not acceptable and I am severely beginning to lose my patience with Al-Fahim. I can see protests on the horizon and I hope for his sake that he doesn't try and sit in with the fans during the Everton game as I expect he won't get a pleasant reception.
And yet the worst news is that Peter Storrie's alleged reaction to this news is that he is seriously considering resigning tomorrow. We shall see if that is the case but if this is true, it would be devastating and would have unthinkable effects on the club.
All at the Pompey Virtual Alliance are extremely disappointed with this news. Al-Fahim is going to have to do something spectacular to win us over now.
