Tony Adams is set to reveal Martin Keown as his assistant manager and has also revealed his interest in bringing Patrick Vieira to Portsmouth.
The new Pompey manager was in talks with Keown today about bringing him to Fratton Park as his number two and it looks very likely that Adams' centre back partner for many years at Highbury will be alongside him again at Fratton Park.
However, Adams insists that Keown's imminent arrival at the club does not mean the end of Joe Jordan's tenure at Pompey and he really wants to keep the fiery scot at the club "forever". Dennis Bergkamp has also been rumoured to be joining Portsmouth as a coach but those rumours are unfounded at the moment.
The Pompey gaffer has also revealed that he is interested in bringing Patrick Vieira to the club and will ask Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho about his availability. The 32-year-old has been plagued by injury since his time with the Serie A Champions but clearly still has something to offer at the top level.
In other news, Sky Sports have predictably moved Pompey's game with Tottenham at White Hart Lane to be televised on Sunday the 18th of January with a 4pm kick-off.
Peter Storrie has also stated that the reports in Sunday newspapers about Redknapp having first refusal over any wantaway Pompey players is complete nonsense and that Tony Adams will have complete control over which players come and go from Fratton Park.
We'll see just how much truth there is to that story in January.
