Speculation over the next man in the Fratton Park hotseat has reached fever pitch lately as Milan told the local media that three men had been interviewed, including Gordon Strachan. What's more, Velimir Zajec is hardly popular with the fans at the moment following a run of eight defeats from ten.
Add into the mix the fact that Milan also said that a new manager would be appointed before the end of April in one form or another and, well, you've got a recipe for excitement. Throw in the likes of Neil Warnock, Co Adriaanse and Tony Adams (hmm) and you've got yourself a story.
And so here we are - according to Milan on Sky Sports News today, the new manager will be appointed within the next two days. Time for the rumour mill to go into overdrive, I think - especially since Mr Chairman wasn't entirely clear on what the role of the new guy would be and whether or not he's take over with immediate effect. Weird times!
